LIBERTINE: Designer Johnson Hartig is a magical magpie at heart. We were floored with the stacks of necklaces that featured vibrant beaded skulls, Chinese snuff bottles and fruit. Wide chokers of iridescent crystals adorned the models’ necks. The inspiration for the collection -the 1930s, Art Deco, China and opium dens to name a few. Standout piece? The embroidered watch covered jacket decorated with eye buttons. ANNA SUI: ‘Beloved’ was the title of the designer’s FW18 show -a reflection about the fashion world Anna dreamed about before coming to New York City. Referencing the ’60s, American fashion designer Norman Norell and illustrator Anne Marie Burden, Anna Sui showcased a delightful collection of bead and chain tassel earrings, statement brooches and colorful necklaces all created in collaboration with jewelry powerhouse Erickson Beamon. NAEEM KHAN: Enlisting his wife Ranjana Khan for the jewelry, the designer exhibited a wonderful mix of Peruvian textiles, prints and patterns and mixed them with Spanish and Indian embroideries and Japanese kimono silhouettes. Hoop earrings embellished with beads, sequins and silk flowers dominated the runway.
