JEWELS FROM THE RUNWAY: Jewelry Details from Chanel SS18 Ready-to-Wear Collection

Water, the clear translucent and healing properties of it, were the main theme to the SS18 RTW Chanel collection. The jewels were composed of rock crystal beads and drops which resembled globules of crystal clear water. MANISH ARORA: The collection was aptly named ‘Ready for Love’. It was an elaborate and decadent collection filled with beautiful embroideries and soft pastels. ALEXANDER MCQUEEN: There was a Victorian vibe going on with the jewelry at the McQueen show. Models were draped in a multitude of pearl and chain necklaces that featured clusters of pendants. We can’t help but love the stacked ears on the models. We are counting down Milan Fashion Week with jewelry details from the spring summer 2018 collections of Etro, the quirky Moschino show and the always trend setting Prada collection.

ETRO:  You couldn’t help but notice the gorgeous statement pearl and crystal drop chandelier earrings that were featured on the ears of the models. Drawn straight from Indian culture, the clothes were accented with multiple strands of elaborate pearl and crystal necklaces and brooches. The standout piece in the collection? Giorgio Armani SS18 collection was all about Impressionism. The show was aptly named ‘Atelier d’Artiste’ The jewels themselves were like pieces of art.  Bold in color, the earrings and necklaces had a sculptural quality to them. Milan Fashion Week has begun and we’re taking a look into all the SS18 runway jewelry details.

VERSACE:  The show paid recognition to the late Gianni Versace. Sister and designer Donatella extracted from the Versace archives and presented a collection that paid tribute to some of Gianni’s most successful Versace collections – Baroque, Vogue and Warhol.  The jewels consisted of ornate beaded crosses, studded crystal starfish, oversized printed ‘V’ earrings with the letter charms that dangled down and spelled out the word “Vogue” and  iconic gold coins that had the Versace logo on them.Versace Ss18Versace Ss18Versace Ss18Versace Ss18Versace Ss18Versace Ss18Versace Ss18ROBERTO CAVALLi: The collection looked fit for a safari and consisted of  wide silver bangles adorned with animal prints, wood bracelets studded with neutral earth tone stones and rose gold mismatched earrings.
